Thanksgiving in the Colonia
The people who are St. Peter and St. Paul have "adopted" five families in one of the large colonias in the northwest part of HIdalgo County. As part of that ministry, we provide a turkey dinner with all the trimmings to those families so they may enjoy Thanksgiving with their families. Please bring your fully cooked turkeys or a side dish to the church building on Sunday, November 24 so the dinners can be delivered that afternoon.
Girl Scout Coat Drive
It's that time of year again! St. Peter & St. Paul's Girl Scout Troop is collecting blankets and gently used coats to donate to the children of The McAllen Rainbow Room/Rainbow RGV Community Partners.
This will be the FIFTH year that these young ladies work to ensure that children in our community have a warm winter.
If you are interested in helping them, coats and blankets may be dropped off at the church office between the hours of 9:30am - 1:30 pm or you may text 956-222-0395 for pick up.
Though the number of asylum seekers coming through McAllen has fallen drastically and the Respite Center has been temporarily closed, large numbers of people are camped out on the international bridges. Tacos are delivered to those who seek legal admission to the United States.
